iPad Clinic

9-10am

CASI will be holding a Mac Computer Clinic on Monday, May 4th from 9-10am. Jim Holifield from the Mac Computer Club will teach you how to use your Mac products and answer any questions! Members are free, non-members $2.00. No pre-registration required.

 

Tuesday, May 5

Navy Band

12:30-1:30pm

CASI will be hosting the Navy Band, led by Geordie F.O. Kelly, Lieutenant, as part of Navy Week on Tuesday, May 5th from 12:30-1:30pm. No registration is required. Free to everyone.

Senior Technology

1-3pm

Mike and Barb Shinbori will be at CASI every Tuesday in May from 1-3pm. They will be here to teach you about computer photo editing and basic use of the Internet. No pre-registration required, but please bring your laptops. $5 members/$7 non-members per class.

Welcome to Medicare

6-8pm

A Welcome to Medicare seminar will be held at CASI on Tuesday, May 5th from 6-8pm. Learn about Medicare Parts A & B benefits, Prescription Drug benefits (Part D), Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Supplement Insurance. Seminar is free for everyone, however pre-registration is required.

New CASI Member Orientation

1:00-2:00pm

New CASI members, as well as those looking to join are welcome to come to our New Member Orientation to be held on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm. Find out about upcoming special events, volunteer opportunities and have your questions answered. FREE!

Mother’s Day Bingo

Heritage Woods and CASI are hosting a Mother’s Day Bingo that is sure to rock your socks! There will be special prizes and treats provided. Score big and join us at CASI on Friday, May 8th at 12:30pm. No pre-registration required.

Spring Dinner and Dance

6pm – 10pm

CASI and the Tony Hamilton Orchestra invite you to our Spring dinner and dance, which will be held on Friday, May 8th at CASI. Dinner will be served from 6:00pm-7:00pm and the dance will start immediately afterwards. Cost is $30 per person and tickets must be purchased by May 1st in order to reserve your meal. After that date tickets will be available at the door only for $10, which does not include the meal. Advance tickets available at the CASI front desk.

Movie Matinee

1:00-3:30pm

Join us for a showing of “Unbroken” on Tuesday, May 12th at 1:00pm here at CASI. After a near-fatal plane crash in WWII, Olympian Louis Zamperini spends 47 days in a raft with two fellow crewmen before he’s caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. Sponsored by Senior Star. Cost is just $2.00 for members and $4.00 for non-members.

Canvas & Vino

6:00-8:00pm

Lynn Jones hosts another fun session of Canvas and Vino at CASI. Recreate a beautiful painting while enjoying wine with friends. Members $25/Non-Members $30. Class will be held on Tuesday, May 12th from 6pm-8pm. Pre-registration and payment are required. Space is limited so sign up today!

Conversational Spanish

9-10am

This six-week class is for those who need to brush up on your skills by reading, speaking and playing games. Classes are held at CASI and begin on Wednesday, May 13th from 9-10am. Per class charge is $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Sign up at the CASI front desk.

Beginning Silk Painting

9-11am

Local artist Jean Johnson will be at CASI on Thursday, May 14th from 9-11am to teach you how to paint on silk. No experience needed. Bring your own hand dryer. Pre-registration and payment are required. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Space is limited so sign up today!

Trivia Night to Benefit Jane’s Place

A trivia night to benefit CASI’s Jane’s Place adult day services will be held on Friday, May 15th. Get your team of eight together and come play some trivia! 50/50, silent auction and door prizes too! Bring snacks for your table, drinks to be purchased from the cash bar. CASI is kicking off the new membership year with a party! The Corvette Club and the Old 57’s band will be at CASI on Sunday, May 17th from noon-3pm. Renew your membership or join CASI on that day and receive a free lunch!

AARP Defensive Driving Course

That’s Entertainment

Join CASI for our new Entertainment series on Wednesday, May 20th from 11-12:30pm. We will be having a pizza lunch followed by a different act of entertainment every month. This month we will be hosting the Golden Tones Chorus. Cost is $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Pre-registration and payment are required.

Clay Bead Making

Classic Movie

CASI’s classic Movie Tuesday continues on Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00pm when we will be showing the classic, “Funny Face” starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Cost is just $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Pre-registration is not required.

Bob Ross Painting Class

9:30-2:30pm

A Bob Ross painting class will be held on Wednesday, May 27th from 9:30-2:30pm. This month we will be painting “The Old Mill Book”.  Cost is just $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
