New CASI Member Orientation

New CASI members, as well as those looking to join are welcome to come to our New Member Orientation to be held on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm. Find out about upcoming special events, volunteer opportunities and have your questions answered. FREE!

 

 

Wednesday, April 1

Country Two-Step Class

2:30-3:30pm

Join us for this 4 week class held every Wednesday in April, beginning April 1st from 2:30-3:30pm. Cost is just $3.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members. Pre-registration is not required, just come and have fun!

 

 

Friday, April 10

Spring Bingo

12:30-3:00pm

Heritage Woods and CASI are hosting a spring bingo that is sure to rock your socks! There will be special prizes and treats provided. Score big and join us at CASI on Friday, April 10th at 12:30pm. No pre-registration required.

iPad Clinic

9-10am

CASI will be holding a Mac Computer Clinic on Monday, April 13th from 9-10am. Jim Holifield from the Mac Computer Club will teach you how to use your Mac products and answer any questions! Members are free, non-members $2.00. No pre-registration required.

Western Waterways Travelogue

1-2pm

Denise LaForest will be at CASI on Monday, April 13th from 1-2:00pm to do a presentation and to explain river cruising. She will also touch on some offerings from Monograms tours. There will be beautiful pictures of the area that will be shown. Members are free, non-members just $2. Pre-registration and payment are required.

 

 

Tuesday, April 14

Movie Matinee

1-3pm

Join us for a showing of “The Imitation Game” on Tuesday, April 14th at 1:00pm. Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain’s top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightly. Cost is just $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Pre-registration is not required.

 

 

Tuesday, April 14

Canvas & Vino

6:00-8:00pm

Lynn Jones hosts another fun session of Canvas and Vino. This month, participants will be painting “Dogwood Path” while enjoying wine with friends. Members $25/Non-Members $30. Class will be held on Tuesday, April 14th from 6pm-8pm. Pre-registration and payment are required. Space is limited so sign up today! (Additional class will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, only if this class fills up)

That’s Entertainment

11-12:30pm

Join CASI for our new Entertainment series on Wednesday, April 15th from 11-12:30pm. We will be having a pizza lunch followed by a different act of entertainment every month. This month we will be having Darlene Breuwet, a fantastic local singer and entertainer. Cost is $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Pre-registration and payment are required.

Fraud Conference

Learn how to protect yourself from identity theft and fraud at CASI on Wednesday, April 22nd from 8:00-1:00pm. Discover con artists tactics and how they trick their victims out of their hard-earned cash. Hear about the latest local scams, and how you can sign up for free monthly Watchdog alerts through AARP. A light lunch will be provided.

 

 

Thursday, April 23

Watercolor Class

9am-11am

Local artist Jean Johnson will be back at CASI with another Pour it on Watercolor class on Thursday, April 23rd from 9-11:00am. Celebrate spring and create a lovely lilac bouquet.  Jean will show you how to get special effects by pouring watercolors. No experience is needed and all materials will be supplied. Saturday, April 25

U BREW Beer Class

9-noon

Join us at CASI on Saturday, April 25th from 9am-noon for an introductory beer making class! This class is for home brewers new to brewing beer. Brian Traughber, master brewer’s staff will be here to conduct the class. Cost is just $25 for CASI members and $30 for non-members. Pre-registration and payment are required. CASI’s classic Movie Tuesday continues on Tuesday, April 28th at 1:00pm when we will be showing the classic, “Dr. Zhivago” starring Omar Sharif and Julie Christie. Cost is just $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Pre-registration is not required.

Bob Ross Painting Class

A Bob Ross painting class will be held on Wednesday, April 29th from 9:30-2:30pm. This month we will be painting a floral oil painting.  Cost is just $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
